Reports from unnamed sources confirmed that Thayer Evans solicited funds from the University of Florida in 2009 in order to write scandalous articles about any school where former Florida quarterback, Cam Newton, played. Reportedly, Thayer thru his agent, Conway Twitty, solicited $180,000 by contacting the roommate of one of the Gator assistant trainers, John Clueless. Mr. Clueless immediately reported the conversation to Florida Officials who contacted FoxSports.com to file a complaint.
While Thayer Evans declined to comment on these verifiable accusations during his online chat today hosted on foxsports.com, sources close to Coach Meyer confirmed that conversations between the coach and Evans have been occurring on a daily basis for the past two weeks.
Thayer has been spotted in the Houston, TX area driving what appears to be a brand new Porsche Carrera sporting a bumper sticker that says "I Hate Auburn!". Coach Meyer declined to comment on the story.
